Top Ten Tuesday (44)

This week's topic is
Top Ten Books When You Need Something Light and Fun

Going through my list of books I've read looking for light and fun reads was just a treat.  Apparently I really prefer dark and heavy.

Shooting Stars
Allison Rushby

Going Vintage
Lindsey Leavitt

She's So Dead to Us
Kieran Scott

Decked With Holly
Marni Bates

Bitter is the New Black
Jen Lancaster

I'd Tell You I Love You, But Then I'd Have to Kill You
Ally Carter

Meg Cabot

Sarah Ockler

Suite Scarlett
Maureen Johnson
Falling in Love with English Boys
Melissa Jensen

Coming up with this list actually turned out to be a lot of fun.  When I read it to my sister she asked me a very important question.  " didn't put The Princess Diaries on there?"  To which I reply, TPD is, in my mind, this giant epic 14 book tale.  So yes, it is a great fun series, but if I'm reading The Princess Diaries, I'm reading ALL of them.  I don't know, should I have put it on here?  I mean, just because I have a lot of feelings about it, doesn't mean that everyone will.  I'll leave it here as my bonus pick.

I can't wait to see what you all have put on your lists!

  1. I'm okay with THE PRINCESS DIARIES being your bonus will always be on my list of fun stories, simply because it will forever remind me of my childhood...getting lost in those pages :) Great list!

  2. Bittersweet made it to my list as well! Great list!

  3. I love Ally Carter's Gallagher Girls series. It made my list as well. Have you read Heist Society? Those are just as cute. Falling in Love with English Boys sounds like me. I will have to check that out :)

    Here is my TTT:

    1. I have read Heist Society and am always torn on which series I like better. Falling in Love with English Boys was really good (though I am a little biased - I'm totally obsessed with all things British lately.) Let me know if you liked it!

  4. I just checked out Bittersweet. I love Ally Carter, Jen Lancaster, and Meg Cabot. Great list!

  5. I had a hard time with this list, too, because like you I seem to prefer more serious books. The Gallagher Girls series is on my list, though, as is GOING VINTAGE, even though I haven't actually read it yet. I loved Leavitt's other books, so I'm pretty sure I'll enjoy this new one as well.

    Happy TTT!

  6. I want to read most of the books on your list! :)
