Top Ten Tuesday (49)

This week's topic is

So, I just went back to last years Top Ten that had this topic and lo and behold I've read TWO of the books that I put on that list.  And one of them I read two days ago.  A big fail.  Hopefully I'll do better with this year's list.  I find summer to be a big contemporary time, it becomes all I want to read.  Here's my top ten contemporaries that I hope to get through this summer.

Leila Howland

Jessi Kirby

Sarah Dessen

Daisy Whitney

Rainbow Rowell

You Look Different in Real Life - Jennifer Castle

 Jennifer E. Smith

Kasie West

Una LaMarche

This Song Will Save Your Life - Leila Sales

What are you all planning on reading this summer?  Let me know in the comments!

  1. I definitely want to read You Look Different in Real Life too, though I still have to buy a copy! Great picks. :)

    1. I actually cheated a little bit by putting it on my list - I started it the other day! Thanks for stopping by!

  2. I loved Golden. This is What Happy and Nantucket Blue are both great summer books. I cannot wait to read the Distance Between Us. I'm reading You Look Different right now and have 5 Summers on my Kindle. Great list!

  3. A couple of other people have said they prefer to read contemporary YA in the summer, too. Interesting. I've only read one of your picks and that's THE DISTANCE BETWEEN US, which I just finished last night! It's cute. Not very original, but still a nice, easy, enjoyable summer read.

    Happy TTT!

    1. I don't know why, but there's something about summer that makes me want to read contemporaries. I think it might be because there are so many that are set in the summer, and I love doing themed reads with the seasons. Glad to hear The Distance Between Us was cute!

    1. Thanks! I know, I'm terrible at these lists too. It's like as soon as I blog that I'm going to read something, all desire to read it goes right out the window!
