Top Ten Tuesday (42)

This week's topic:
Top Ten Books I Recommend the Most

Being a bookseller, you would think this would be an easy topic.  The problem I've found though, is that generally when people come book shopping they want to leave with something in their hands.  A lot of the time I want to give them something we don't have in stock.  So I'm going to make this my no holds barred, if I could give someone any book these would be what I would give them.

For the Contemporary fan:

The Princess Diaries
Meg Cabot

Anna and the French Kiss
Stephanie Perkins

Saving Francesca/The Piper's Son
Melina Marchetta

Secret Society Girl
Diana Peterfreund

If I Stay
Gayle Forman

For the Fantasy/Adventure fan:

White Cat
Holly Black

Delirium
Lauren Oliver

 Anna Dressed in Blood
Kendare Blake

Throne of Glass
Sarah J. Maas

Tiger Lily
Jodi Lynn Anderson

I can't wait to see which books you guys picked!

  1. I really liked DELIRIUM and ANNA DRESSED IN BLOOD. I haven't read the others, although I really, really want to read TIGER LILY. I've heard lots of great things about it!

  3. I am so happy to see someone else with White Cat on their list! I am annoyed that I forgot to add Anna to my list-I recommend that one, Amy & Roger's Epic Detour, and My Life Next Door are my favorite romances to recommend. I need to read Tiger Lily! Thanks for the recommendations. Here are mine http://wp.me/pzUn5-1sn

    1. White Cat is just everything. Between my sister and I we have seven copies of it in our house. I loved Amy & Roger and My Life Next Door, awesome choices! And definitely pick up Tiger Lily, it is AMAZING.

  5. Delirium really is a wonderful book! Have you gotten a chance to read the sequels Pandemonium and Requiem? :) Pandemonium was really addicting, and I think I have to buy Requiem pretty soon since it was published last month!

    1. I actually just did a Delirium/Pandemonium re-read so I could read Requiem. Pandemonium was unexpectedly addicting the first time I read it. I actually sat on my couch and read it in one sitting. Definitely buy Requiem, I really enjoyed it, and let me know what you think when you've read it!
