Top Ten Favorite Book Covers of Books I've Read
Now, the last time the favorite covers topic came up, I did all books that I've read, so this time I'm going to do something a little different. There's always a lot of talk about publishers repackaging series books. I have mixed feeling about it. I understand why it's done, but I seriously cringe when my books don't match.
Anyway, here are some of my favorite repackaged covers that I've read:

I think that The Piper's Son was by FAR my favourite repackaged cover. The first one told a bit of the story, but it didn't really resonate with me. Now, it definitely does. I also love the revamped cover for She's So Dead to Us. Great feature, Britt! :)
ReplyDeleteI've never read Anna and the French Kiss, but I do like the new cover of it. I adore the colour combinations. I have the cover version on the right for The Piper's Son, but my favourite version is the Australian cover which is so beautiful in my opinion. I like both covers for Tempest :) Great list!

I love the way you've done this week's list. Sometimes when covers are redesigned they look much better. Definitely so in the books you've listed!
ReplyDeleteI agree with Throne of Glass. The new cover is so awesome. I love how, on the back of the book, it's like you're looking at Celaena's back too.

ReplyDeleteInteresting. I haven't read any of these, so I don't know how well they all match the books, but it's interesting to see how the publishers change the art.

Love your twit on the topic! And yes, in most of these cases I agree the repackaged cover is better. I especially like the new cover for The Disenchantments. It captures the spirit of the book so much better than the first cover did.

The newer cover for White Cat is a THOUSAND times better for sure! I also like the newer ones for The Princess Diaries series too :)

ReplyDeleteshe's so dead to us has a better new cover. the princess diaries cover is boring though i like the new one. i never read anna and the french kiss but the older cover looks better.
